The Land

We are located in Lincoln, Vermont along the northern spine of the Green Mountains, south of Burlington and east of Middlebury. Blessed with 158 beautiful acres, we are nestled in a bowl of mountains with stunning views in all directions. We have 35 acres of meadows, pastureland, and horticultural fields and the remaining acres in hardwood and evergreen forest with beaver ponds, old orchards, stonewalls, seasonal streams, and an enormous variety of wild life habitat enriching this sanctuary of nature. Hiking and biking trails abound and a magnificent, pure river straight out of the Breadloaf Wilderness provides swimming in deep, golden pools and waterfalls just a few minutes walk down the road.

A WALK by Rainer Maria Rilke

“My eyes already touch the sunny hill, going far ahead of the road I have begun. So we are grasped by what we cannot grasp; it has its inner light, even from a distance – and changes us, even if we do not reach it, into something else, which, hardly sensing it, we already are; a gesture waves us on, answering our own wave … but what we feel is the wind in our faces.”
